A Tidewater native and widely respected Green Industry leader, John serves as Operations Manager for EarthScapes Lawn & Land Service. John is a seasoned Green Industry executive who has built a distinguished career in Landscape Management that spans more than 40 years. Being widely respected for his leadership, industry expertise, and enduring contributions to the landscape management trade, John's career has been defined by excellence, exceptional client service, and a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful, sustainable outdoor environments.
Over the past four decades, John has successfully led landscape design/build, outdoor living, and comprehensive landscape and grounds management operations throughout the Hampton Roads area , maintaining a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, municipal, and community association properties. His expertise in horticulture, operations management, workforce development, client relations, and business leadership has helped organizations achieve exceptional service standards while fostering sustainable growth.
Throughout his career, John has cultivated countless professional relationships and earned the trust and respect of colleagues, clients, industry partners, and competitors alike. Known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and hands-on leadership, he has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to both his profession and the people he serves.
A firm believer in giving back to the industry that has provided him so much opportunity, John has dedicated significant time to mentoring and developing the next generation of landscape professionals and industry leaders. Many of those he has trained and guided have gone on to become skilled and successful crew leaders, managers, entrepreneurs, and business owners, extending his positive influence throughout the Green Industry.
John’s passion for the environment, horticulture, and creating beautiful, sustainable landscapes remains as strong today as when he first entered the profession. He continues to champion innovation, professional development, operational excellence, and first-class customer service, helping EarthScapes deliver exceptional value and results for its clients.
When not leading operations at EarthScapes Lawn & Land Service, John enjoys traveling, music, sports, and spending time with friends and family. John, his wife Ann Marie, and their two adult children, Caleb and Haley, proudly call Virginia Beach home.
